Intensive “G” in car driving practices
This lesson is an hour and a half for people who want to get the knowledge of how to pass the G faster. People should already have some degree of driving experience on different types of roads, including highways (This lesson is not for beginners). With these lessons, drivers seek advice and obtain the key knowledge to pass the Ontario G driving test. The classes will take place on highways, residential areas and business or commercial areas.
Practices focus on entering, driving, and exiting freeways, lane changes, right and left turns, crossing intersections, driving the speed limit correctly, looking for hazards, parking, proper signaling, mirrors, blind spots, and more. A G1 or G2 license is required to be able to take these lessons. Bring your Canadian “G1” or “G2” driver’s license.
Important Note: The instructor will assess whether the student is driving safely for themselves, pedestrians, and other drivers on the road, including roads where speeds increase. (The school has the right to suspend any class without liability to the instructor or the driving school if the student is dangerous while driving, violates Ontario laws, or fails to follow the instructor’s instructions)
The meeting point for these practices is the Ottawa Drive Test parking lot in Kitchener (1405 Ottawa Street North Kitchener) to practice the driving test routes.
We know that the unforeseen can happen and if you cancel your lesson at least 48 hours in advance there is no charge, however, cancellations with less than 48 hours will be billed a CAD $65.00 (+HST) cancellation fee and the client must pay the bill in full. Payments after the invoice due date incur daily charges. All invoices must be paid at the end of the practice and payments can be made by electronic transfer to email: [email protected].
The price of the G lessons is CAD$75.00 (+HST) for an hour and a half of practice and the minimum package to book is at least two lessons.

G2 In Car Driving Practices 

This lesson is for one hour and for people with previous driving experience who need reinforcement, gain more experience and confidence before the driving G2 road test. (These lessons are not for beginners) The practices will be in residential and commercial areas. A G1 license is required to be able to take these lessons. Don’t forget to bring your Canadian “G1” driver’s license.
Learn how to do three points, parallel parking, stopping or emergency stopping, turning left and right, changing lanes, parking forward and in reverse, checking and managing the speed limit, crossing intersections correctly, looking for hazards and further. The meeting point for these practices is the Ottawa Drive Test parking lot in Kitchener (1405 Ottawa Street North Kitchener) to practice the road test routes.

Intensive "G2" in car driving practices (1.5 Hours)

This one and a half hour lesson is for people who already have previous driving experience, and need a reinforcement to improve vehicle control. Gain experience to pass your G2 practical driving test quickly with these intensive lessons (This practice is not for beginners).
Learn how to make three-point turns, parallel parking, stopping or emergency stopping, left and right turns, lane changes, residential and commercial driving, backing up parking, and more.
The meeting point for these practices is the Ottawa Drive Test parking lot in Kitchener (1405 Ottawa Street North Kitchener) to practice the road test routes.

 "G" In Car Driving Practices

This course is for one hour and is for people who already have driving experience on different types of roads including highway driving. (This lesson is not for beginners) These people are looking for tips to pass the Ontario G Driving road Test. Classes will take place on highways, residential areas, and business or commercial areas.
The practices focus on entering, driving and exiting highways, making lane changes, turning to the right and left, crossing intersections, correct handling of the speed limit, looking for dangers, parking, correctly signaling, mirrors, blind spots and further. A G1 or G2 license is required to be able to take these lessons. Please bring your Canadian “G1” or “G2” driver’s license.

Car rental for the road test

You can rent the car for the day of your road test. This service includes the accompaniment of the instructor or a driver with a G license with more than 4 years of experience prior to your exam. (During the road test only the driver and the examiner are allowed). The requirement of the Drive test is to report with your license 30 minutes before your road test time. This service includes: One hour of refreshment practice prior to your road test + 30 minutes of accompaniment during the examiner’s waiting time + the time that the road test takes either “G2” or “G”.

It is required at least to have had a minimum of two previous lessons with our driving school to be able to rent a car with us for your driving test. The vehicles are labeled driving school and have dual brakes.

Online Digital BDE Certificate Course

Online Self-Study training module.

Online digital training is accessible anytime using a computer, cellular device, or tablet. This course can be completed at any place and time, and at your own pace. Once you have successfully completed the online course, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation will allow you to schedule the 10 hours of in-car training with any driving instructor. The benefits of taking a Beginner Driving Education course approved by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario:

  • Get G2 licence in 8 months.
  • An excellent preparation in defensive and safe driving.
  • BDE graduates with a Driver`s License History (DLH) may be eligible for an insurance discount.

Driver`s License History provides proof of successful completion of and graduation from a Beginner Driving Education Course.

  3. Driver behavior. Responding to emergencies, how to avoid head-on and rear-end collisions.
  4. The vehicle and its components. Communication devices, and myths and facts related to the use of seatbelts.
  5. Perception and risk management. Proactive vs reactive driving actions, driving emergencies, road rage, decision-making, and collision scenario analysis.
  6. Sharing the road with all road users. Sharing the road with pedestrians, how to pass traffic safely, cooperative driving and defensive driving, and sharing the road fundamentals.
  7. Different points of attention a driver will experience. Listing inside and outside vehicle distractions, myths and facts related to impairment, strategies to avoid impaired driving, types of impairment.
  8. Respect and responsibilities in the driving environment.
  9. The benefits of fuel-efficient driving and fuel-efficient driving techniques.

 

10 HOURS OF PRIVATE IN-VEHICLE LESSONS

Once the online portion of the course has been completed, the in-vehicle training will begin.

All private in-vehicle lessons are one-on-one with no other students inside the car and you cannot practice without a G1 license.

Please note: The waiting time to book 10 hours in-car sessions is approximately 1 month after you complete your online course.

Term: 1 year. NOTE: 1-year contract Policy:

The course must be completed within 365 days, 1 year from the date you registered, and You will need to have full payment prior to beginning car training. This is an Ontario Government regulation 473/07. No refunds, no exchanges after the 1-year expiration date, and the student must make a full payment to restart a new online BDE course. No exceptions.

 

Cancellation Policy: Edil Driving School operates a 48-hour cancellation policy for in-car training.

If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the day of your lesson, you will not be charged, or else the school policy is to charge a fee of CAD $65.00(+HST) to rebook a makeup lesson.

How to graduate and attain the BDE certification: Student must follow the below steps in order to successfully complete BDE course:

STEP1. complete 20 hours of self-study online course and pass final test.

Online training is accessible anytime using a computer, mobile or tablet. The course is administered by Gogo who is a 3rd party vendor that the MTO government has selected to teach BDE online curriculum.

Once you have successfully completed step 1 the online training, go to step 2.

STEP 2: Complete 10 hours home links online course (Homework) and final test.

Once you have completed step 1 and 2 then you will receive an email confirmation to contact the school to begin scheduling 10 hours in car sessions, step 3.

STEP 3: Book your 10 hours in car sessions after completing step 1 and step 2 and pass your final tests.

Pickup and drop-off location: In Car lessons

Usually, it is the place of residence of the student, or the point agreed with the instructor or driving school. The punctuality of the student is required to start the practice at the scheduled time. If the student is not at the appointed time, a text message is sent to him/her, the instructor will wait for him/her for 15 minutes (Time included in the practice hour) and if he/she does not arrive, the practice is canceled due to non-compliance, applying the current cancellation policy and the cancellation fee. Three cancellations without notification by the student can terminate the contract for breach of the student but without responsibility of the instructor or the driving school.

STEP 4: Forward payment to the government for the BDE registration $45.00 and fill in and sign the sign out sheet requesting BDE to be processed and registered.

Step 5: After completing all the 4 steps above, you can visit any Service Ontario to request a DHL form: Proof of Beginner’s Driver Education course (BDE). The DHL provides proof of successful completion of the BDE course and BDE graduates with a DLH are eligible for an insurance discount. Discounts may vary according to each insurance company.
